Calls for Participation
Art+Tech Pop-Up Exhibit
An evening pop-up exhibit and social soirée will be held after the daytime symposium activities from 7pm-11pm. We’re actively looking for artists and creative technologists to participate, please fill out the application linked below if you are interested in showing work.
Artists working in new media (electronics, software art, interactive, generative, mechanical or other new and emerging technologies) are encouraged to apply by August 24th, with selections announced by August 31st. Traditional media (painting, print etc.) will be considered only if it demonstrates the use or integration of a new or emerging technology.
Exhibitors must be fairly self sufficient: this is a free community event and artists are encouraged to provide their own equipment and installation. The space will be available for install two days prior to the event, but quick install times (less than two hours) are preferred. Take down is Sunday, September 28th.
A floor plan for the 9th Ave Gallery can be seen here to get an idea of available space. Final artwork placements will be determined after selections are announced.
Afternoon Rapid Talks
We have 11 slots for arts and technology-focused talks to educate, inspire, and awe your colleagues. Give us your fresh takes, wild ideas, hot-pockets of knowledge, a prototype, a process that bends a medium, the workflow that saves hours, the ethical fault line we can’t ignore, and earn a special speaker’s badge. We’ll keep it moving swiftly, and plan to batch a brief Q&A after a block of talks.
Choose your format (both in 6min 40sec)—PechaKucha (20 slides × 20 seconds each) for lock‑paced visuals or a 400‑Second Story for the same time cap with your own rhythm.
Talk submissions are currently closed.
